What do you really mean?

If words could be objectified
I would be a mannequin of bliss
Pollinating those who touch
Alluring and engulfing
My heart beats boom boom

I advance towards you
To pick words outta your mouth
Because spilling them
Only inflames me
My mind evaporates
And a sugary melody takes over

It should halt
But I am zombie
No wits about me
Hanging onto your every word
In a drunken stupor

I am jolted out
Alarm bells sounding
My brain has been invaded
A war is wagered
I have no armor
No safe haven

My guard is drawn up
I want to exit
Uncertainty takes over
I feel sheltered
I ought to query
How you have the nerve

When I peek at you
Ready to fire
I am met by the winning smile
I feel silly, how can I think so cruel of you
But the nagging sensation lingers
Panic ensues
Voices from my future
Yelling, I told you so

I am back where it all began
What do you really mean?
